How to use the mBgeoWriter plugin

(a plug in for maya for exporting polygon and point information)

Export the geo from Maya

  1. Select the geo in maya
  2. In the script editor type mbgeoWriter
  3. Set the path to exported bgeo's (you can use $F4 sydntax for zero padded files)
  4. tick the write box
  5. set the level of verbosity that you require
  6. press play

Load the Geo in Houdini

  1. Create a File node
  2. Set the path to the bgeo files written by mbgeo/maya (press play
